Harry Redknapp Is The Key To Tottenham's Success - Carlo Cudicini
The Italian goalkeeper says the boss has inspired confidence in his players...
Carlo Cudicini has heaped praised on Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp, attributing the revival in fortunes of the club to Redknapp's ability to inspire confidence in his troops.
"When players believe in themselves you get results, it’s the best mix," the goalkeeper said, according to Spursweb.com.
“Every manager has got good aspects.
“Harry is doing a great job here at Tottenham, since he arrived here the team seems to have taken off. This season we are doing very well, so hopefully we are on the right way.”
The ex-Chelsea custodian described the difficulty of returning to first-team action after a long absence. Cudicini has had little match time after losing his starting spot to Peter Cech at Stamford Bridge. Since his switch to Spurs last season, he has also found himself warming the bench behind Huerelho Gomes.
“It is difficult when you don’t play for a while to come back into the team, just to get your rhythm back. It’s difficult for a goalkeeper but also an outfield player as well," he said.
“Maybe for us it’s just the mental aspect that is a bit different from an outfield player. You need to get your concentration back and so on. But I’ve played four games in 10 days, which is quite a short period of time.”
